ROCHELLE — Members of the Rochelle Township High School Education Foundation are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18.
For the second year, RTHSEF is hosting the Midwest Dueling Pianos at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center. The pair of piano players wowed the crowd last year with renditions of music from a variety of genres.
RTHSEF is a not-for-profit organization dedication to raising funds to enhance programs at Rochelle Township High School that will benefit the education of the students. The organization focuses on supporting programs by purchasing books, equipment, and technology that falls outside the boundaries of the district’s annual budget.

This spring from the funds generated at last year’s event the foundation awarded the following:  10 heart monitors to be used in the physical education department; five digital SLR cameras for the art department; 12 laptop computers for the science department; an ELMO projector for the English department; and three copies of each title from the Abraham Lincoln Choice Award books for the library.
“We had a ton of positive feedback from last year and are looking forward to this year,” said RTHSEF president Kari Andrist. “Central Bank has come in as the presenting sponsor of the event and we are extremely appreciative to them and their support to RTHS.”
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show is from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $40 and include light refreshments.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite.com or at Holcomb Bank, Salinas Chiropractic and RTHS.  Board members are:  President Kari Andrist, Vice President Rhonda Crandall, Secretary Kim Louis, Treasurer Dave Burrows, Angie Seldal, Joan Koolidge, John Collins, Tim Salinas, Chris Harley and Crystal Vondergathen.
