ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Track Club hosted the 42nd Annual RATC Meet at Rochelle Township High School this past Saturday. Hundreds of local and area competitors of all ages laced up their cleats to participate in this year’s event.

6-8 Girls

Jehan Jaradat won the long jump with a distance of 7-9, while Sofia Rosales and Emma Osborne tied for second place with a distance of 4-10. Megan Johnson won the javelin throw with a distance of 6.16 meters, and Kollins Anaya won the 100-meter dash with a time of 20.99 seconds while Johnson took second in 22.66 and Delaney Scanlan finished third in 26.26.

Rosales won the 800-meter run with a time of 4:25.65, and Osborne won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:47.20 while Anaya placed second in 1:50.35. Rosales and Anaya finished first and second in the 200-meter dash with times of 48.77 and 50.26.

6-8 Boys

Bentley Svela won the long jump with a distance of 7-4 while Reed Rowley placed second at 7-3 and Grange Kissack finished third at 7-2. Svela won the javelin throw with a distance of 14.94 meters, with Jadon Exantus placing second at 11.16 and Rowley finishing third at 8.41. Kissack won the 100-meter dash with a time of 19.57 seconds, and Gavin Smith took second with a time of 19.88 while Exantus was third in 20.10.

Noah Hayden won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:40.13 while Elias Zarate placed second in 1:47.99 and Jack Olson took third in 1:51.04. Isaiah Bergeson won the 1500-meter run with a time of 8:08.46, and Liam Virto won the 200-meter dash with a time of 46.27 while Hayden placed second in 47.37 and Nicanor Anaya placed third in 56.04.

9-10 Girls

Leiya Smith won the long jump with a distance of 10-1 while Mairin Meyers placed second in 6-10. Liliana Lawrence placed second in the shot put with a heave of 6-7, and Regan Turner won the javelin throw with a distance of 11.72 meters while Lawrence took third at 5.19. Smith won the 100-meter dash with a time of 16.50, with Anya Anaya placing second in 17.77.

Maggie Louis won the 800-meter run with a time of 3:25.72 while Emma Metzger placed third with a time of 3:42.00. Anaya won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:27.43 and Turner finished second in 1:35.08. Tess Kissack, Emma Osborne, Louis and Smith teamed up to win the 400-meter relay with a time of 1:16.80. Smith won the 200-meter dash with a time of 38.68 while Anaya placed third in 42.36.

9-10 Boys

Joah Horner placed second in the long jump with a distance of 8 feet and Ezekiel Bergeson took third with a distance of 7-10. Pedro Rosales won the shot put with a heave of 13-7 and Alexander Truckenbrod took second with a heave of 7-11. Bergeson won the javelin throw with a distance of 9.06 meters while Cristopher Lawrence placed second at 6.16 and Truckenbrod took third at 5.01. Horner placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 16.86 seconds.

Lawrence finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:41.13 and Rochelle’s 400-meter relay team of Gavin Smith, Christopher Nambo, Horner and Rosales won with a time of 1:21.00. Rosales took third in the 1500-meter run with a time of 8:01.22.

11-12 Girls

Maggie Carter won the long jump with a distance of 11-10 while Anna Blanton took second at 9-6 and Savanna Wilson finished third at 9-5. Wilson won the javelin throw with a distance of 9.61 meters, and Brisa Zepeda won the 100-meter dash with a time of 16.02 seconds while Ava Horner took second in 16.96 and Laila Vazquez finished third in 18.76.

Zepeda won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:22.83 with Horner placing second in 1:23.98 and Blanton finishing third in 1:27.13. Blanton won the 200-meter dash with a time of 40.54 while Wilson took second in 43.93 and Vazquez placed third in 48.00.

11-12 Boys

Jack Tilton tied for first in the high jump with a height of 3-6 and Zackary Dreska placed second in the discus throw with a mark of 50-3 ½. Nolan Johnson won the javelin throw with a 19.15 meters while Dreska took third at 11.77. Hunter Bivins won the 3000-meter run with a time of 13:57.25.

Tilton won the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.63 seconds while Bivins was second in 16.79 and Johnson placed third in 16.94. Dreska finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:37.41 and Johnson took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 39.47.

13-14 Girls

Kylie Smith won the long jump with a distance of 9-2 while Samone House placed second at 8-5. Kyra Bivins won the triple jump with a distance of 29-1, and Lauren Turner finished second in the shot put with a heave of 24-10 while Leenah Saadeh placed third at 21-2. Ashley Dwyer took second in the discus throw with a mark of 29-3 ½.

Bivins won the javelin throw with a distance of 15.82 meters and Turner placed third at 13.25. Bivins finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 21.57 seconds and first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.73 while House placed second in 18.37.

Turner won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:59.41 while Zoe White finished second in 3:07.50 and Saadeh took third in 3:25.05. Smith won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:12.81, and Rochelle’s 400-meter relay team of White, House, Brisa Zepeda and Ava Horner won with a time of 1:10.16. House placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 41.49.

13-14 Boys

Abel Huerta placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 22-8 and Huerta took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:52.55. Huerta won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:16.35 and Luis Pizano placed second in 1:24.34. Pizano won the 1500-meter run with a time of 7:10.67 and Huerta finished second in 8:01.22.

15-16 Girls

Teagan Meyers placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 29-8 ½ and Meyers won the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.05 seconds.

17-18 Boys

Jacob Nations won the long jump with a distance of 14-4 and the triple jump with a distance of 34-1. Parker Hale won the high jump with a height of 5-7 and Nations took second at 4-11.

19-34

Janine Mazur won the pole vault with a height of 6-6.
