ROCHELLE — Two Rochelle men were arrested on drug charges Friday night by Rochelle police. Each arrest was made following traffic stops.
Triston Perkins, 21, of Rochelle, was originally stopped at South Third St. and Ave. H after disobeying a stop sign. Subsequently, officers arrested Perkins for unlawful possession of cannabis, between 10 to 30 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear in court on the original charge of unlawful possession of cannabis.
He was also cited for the original stop, disobeying a stop sign. He has posted bond on the charges and received a court date of Dec. 29 in Oregon.

The second arrest involved Francisco Corrillo-Canales, 28, of Rochelle, who was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, heroin and possession a hypodermic needle.
Corrillo-Canales was also charged with obstructing justice after he attempted to swallow the heroin in his possession.
Corrillo-Canales was originally stopped for a tail light violation in the 300 block of Lincoln Highway. Corrillo-Canales received a ticket for that violation along with driving on a suspended license and having no insurance.
He was transported to the Ogle County jail with no bond set on the felony drug offense.
