ROCHELLE — Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District officials have announced they will be holding two upcoming public informational meetings to share detailed plans of the proposed community recreation center with local residents.
The forums will be held on Monday, March 4 and Monday, March 11 at the Spring Lake Marina starting at 6:30 p.m. on both nights.
Design plans
Park District Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger plans to present design plans and financial estimates of the 80,000 square-foot facility that the district hopes to build on the Helms South property just west of Walgreens.
A referendum asking voters for authority to issue general obligation bonds in the amount of $11 - $14 million to build the complex will appear on the April 2 consolidated election ballot.
