Two transported following rollover

On Dec. 29 at approximately 12:52 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 14,700 block of Robin Road in reference to a rollover accident with injuries. After investigation deputies learned James Babu, 42, of Ridott, was traveling westbound in the 14,700 block of Robin Road in his 2007 Toyota van. Babu then lost control on the completely ice covered gravel road and began to spin out of control. The vehicle exited off of the south side of the roadway before overturning at least once and landing upside down. Two passengers in the vehicle, Jennifer Oliva-Nyatangi, 43, and Hadassah Nyatangi, 2, both of Ridott were transported to KSB Hospital by Polo EMS for minor injuries. Polo Fire and Polo Police Department also helped assist with the call. 

On Dec. 29 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-88 at I-39. After a short investigation Juan M. Peres-Rodarte, 48, of Romeoville, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Peres-Rodarte was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Dec. 31

On Dec. 31 the following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding warrants: 

Eugene Dzwierzynski, 58, of Oregon, for violating order of protection. Dzwierzynski had a bond of $5,000/10 percent applies. Dzwierzynski was able to post his bond of $5,000/10 percent applies. Dzwierzynski was released from the Ogle County jail and was scheduled to return to court Jan. 3.

Jose L. Elias-Hernandez, 22, of Madison, Wisconsin, for driving while license suspended. Elias-Hernandez has a bond of $3,000/10 percent applies. Elias-Hernandez was not able to post his bond. Elias-Hernandez will remain in the Ogle County Jail and will return to court on Jan. 4.

Jan. 1

On Jan. 1 at 1:39 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Washington and First streets in Oregon. After a short investigation deputies arrested Amy Orsred, 29, of Oregon, for DUI drugs and felony possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the ogle county jail and held in lieu of bond.  Deputies were assisted by Oregon Police.
