ROCHELLE – Two local residents got the “best” surprise last week when store owner Randy Wakenight told them they both won a $500 shopping spree from R & D Do It Best Hardware store in Rochelle.
“I didn’t believe it, I hardly ever win anything,” said Sandy Rogers, pictured left.
When asked what she spend on her shopping spree, Rogers said she is eyeing a bench seat to put outside the Diamond G Ranch, which she is part owner of. Mike Wilmarth, pictured right, said he was equally surprised and is looking at several things in the store.
For the last 10 years the hardware store has been conducting the giveaways to lucky winners twice a year.
