Help Stamp Out Hunger, the 27th annual food drive conducted by your local U.S. Postal workers, will be Saturday, May 11.
Ogle County has many villages now with small food pantries and your donated items will help them all. Your postal carrier will pick up donated items and take to the post office where local pantries will relay items to their pantries for sorting and making donated items available to users in future open pantries.
The Post Office only asks that donated non-perishable food items be placed near your mailbox in a visible location.
Also consider volunteering at your local pantry, as volunteers are welcomed. Thank you for considering helping those in need because for some is still very much there.
