Rochelle — The 2019 RMU utility assistance program is still available. Currently, more than 100 households have received utility assistance and funds are still available for approximately another 150 households.
Residents who meet the income guidelines are encouraged to apply.
The RMU Residential Utility Assistance Program provides monetary assistance for qualifying RMU residential utility customers in the amount of $300 per household each calendar year. The financial assistance is based on income. The combined gross income for all adults permanently living at the residence must be at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for the previous 30 days.
