VCCT preparing for July show

Posted

ROCHELLE — Rehearsals for VCCT’s new production, “The Complete works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” are well underway.
The show will be opening in July.
“This show is an absolute whirlwind of costumes, props and hilarity - it is not to be missed,” director Carrie Johnson said of the show.
The show features Terry Camplain, Chris Johnson and Curt Helgren performing all of Shakespeare’s works.

“This is definitely the most fun I’ve had directing a show. From the first rehearsal, it’s been an absolute riot,” Johnson said. “This show allows the guys to truly be themselves - literally - and that gives them a freedom to shine a little brighter.”
That element, mixed with their stage experience and their closeness as friends - a band of brothers, really - makes this show such a wonderful event to be a part of,” Johnson added.
Dates
Play dates for the comedy are July 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21. Curtain times for the Friday and Saturday shows is 8 p.m. while the Sunday, July 15, matinee begins at 2 p.m.
All shows are in the Paddock Room at Hickory Grove, 1127 N. Seventh St.
Tickets can be ordered online at vcctrochelle.org.  Tickets are $12 on line. Tickets will also be available at the door prior to the show.
