ROCHELLE — Lots of things are in store for Vince Carney Community Theater in the coming months. Several members were on hand at Culver’s recently for the theater group’s fundraiser, helping to serve food and clean tables.
A little over $500 was earned that evening.
“The VCCT Board is extremely grateful to the Rochelle Culver’s for allowing us the opportunity to collect “tips” and share a portion of the evening’s sales,” Jeannette Mingus, VCCT Board Member and Fundraising Chair. “It was wonderful to see so many community members that night. We welcome any opportunity to spend time discussing our plan for the renovation of the former Lincoln School, and look forward to hosting future community events.”
A fundraiser is scheduled at Portillo’s in Sycamore on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. The theater group will get 20 percent of the sales if the flyer is shown or mentioned that evening.
More details on a “radio show” in December, which will feature a gala-style event with dinner and a silent auction, along with a two-person musical in March will be made available in the near future.
