ROCHELLE — A veterans appreciation coffee will be hosted by the Parish Nurse Ministry of St. Paul Lutheran Church on June 21 at 9 a.m. in the fellowship area behind the sanctuary, 1415 10th Avenue.
This date was chosen as it is during several important historic/patriotic dates. June 6 was the 75th anniversary of D-Day and June 28 is the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
Memorial Day is in late May and on July 4 we observe our Independence Day.
Kare-9 Dogs and their handlers will be present to share the outreach to veterans through Lutheran Church Charities. The Parish Nurse Ministry with the Health and Human Care Board plan to develop an intentional outreach to veterans. Veterans and a guest are invited.
Please register with the parish nurse office at St. Paul by calling 815-562-2744 by June 16. If you have not attended our previous appreciation coffee, please provide your branch of service as a representative from Heartland Hospice will be present to present a pin and certificate.
For more information or to register, contact Marcia Schnorr at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the morning or leave a message. Your call will be returned.
