Rochelle reaches 7-2 on season with 25-21, 25-21 win

STILLMAN VALLEY — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity volleyball team logged its second win over a Big Northern Conference team in two days, traveling for a 25-21, 25-21 victory at Stillman Valley on Wednesday evening. Junior Taelynn Rodeghero fired off a team-leading 10 kills for the Lady Hubs (7-2, 0-0 Interstate 8), who will host their home tournament this weekend with matches beginning on Saturday morning.

Juniors Lauren Dyer and Ali Ohlinger as well as senior Alivia Henkel each recorded four kills in the victory over the Cardinals on Wednesday. Junior Dempsey Atkinson compiled a team-leading seven digs on defense and Henkel followed with five digs. Junior Sydney Carmichael finished with two service aces and Ohlinger racked up 21 assists to command the Rochelle offense in the win.
