PLANO — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity volleyball team scored its first Interstate 8 Conference victory of the season Tuesday evening, defeating Plano 25-19, 25-9 to move to 8-5 on the season.
Junior Isela Vasquez finished with 14 assists for the Lady Hub offense, while senior Sylvia Hasz totaled seven kills and three aces. Juniors Macy Ramos and Addie Friestad combined for seven kills, with freshmen Dempsey Atkinson and Taelynn Rodeghero each notching two aces in the win.
Genoa-Kingston
The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity volleyball team fell 6-25, 9-25 against an undefeated Genoa-Kingston team on Thursday, falling to 8-6 on the season with the loss. Senior Sylvia Hasz recorded two kills and freshman Taelynn Rodeghero added two blocks in the match.
