ROCHELLE — Joshua Weber and Emily Metzger are pleased to announce their engagement.
Josh, a 2005 RTHS graduate, is the son of Nicholas and Leigh Weber of Rochelle and the late Karen Weber. He attended Grinnell College, graduating in 2009. He then went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he completed his doctorate in physics in 2014 and then pursued postdoctoral research. He is currently a visiting assistant professor of physics at Grinnell College in Iowa, where he also resides.
Emily, a 2008 RTHS graduate, is the daughter of Mick and Mary Beth Metzger of Rochelle. She attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. After graduating in 2012, she went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford in 2016. She is currently a Family Medicine resident physician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she resides.
Emily and Josh are planning a September wedding.
