OREGON — The Ogle County Services Network is sponsoring their annual Wellness & Resource Fair for adults on Friday, Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rock River Center, 810 South 10th St. in Oregon. The event is free and open to the public.
Flu vaccines will be available from the Ogle County Health Department and Rochelle Community Hospital for a $35 fee. Health care providers will be offering several free screenings throughout the day including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, Hearing and Vision by the Lions Club.
In addition, participants can enjoy informational workshops. Workshop topics include “What does Assisted Living mean to you?” at 9 a.m.; “Join Danielle from Oregon Living and Rehab on proper Exercise Techniques”” at 10 a.m. and “Food & Brain Health with University of Illinois educator Marylyn Csernus” at 11 a.m.
There will be many Exhibitor booths to visit offering information and samples. Also, participants can register to win one of several gift cards for gas, groceries or other items.
