STILLMAN VALLEY – William M. “Bill” Bybee, 60, longtime Stillman Valley area resident, died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 in SwedishAmerican Hospital, Rockford.
He was born Feb. 27, 1957 in Rochelle the son of Robert C. and Dolores (Glover) Bybee. He married Kathy Henry June 17, 1978 in Rochelle.
Bill was a 1975 graduate of Rochelle High School and obtained a degree in Agricultural Mechanics from Kishwaukee College. He was employed at Schafer Gear Works in Roscoe since 2010. Bill enjoyed his Harley-Davidson, cooking and grilling, and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Jason Bybee of Rochelle; daughters, Kelly Bybee of Loves Park and Mandy Bybee of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gabe, Wylie and Coyie; brothers, Tom (Pat) Bybee of Valdosta, Ga., and Joe (Pam) Bybee of Lee; and sister, Barb (John) McMullan of West Lafayette, Ind.
He was preceded by his parents.
A visitation will be held 4 -7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Stillman Valley, concluding with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
