ROCHELLE — Everyone needs a little rest and relaxation time away, and the Rochelle News-Leader wants to help.
Each June the News-Leader offers a special discounted subscription drive for readers, along with a fantastic trip giveaway drawing for one lucky winner!
This year the prize is an exciting $1,000 getaway to Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena, which includes three days and two nights accommodations, a generous gift card to be used anywhere at the resort, cash for shopping or the casino and a gas card to get there!
“In the past we offered an impressive vacation stay at a resort near Disney World in Florida, but that didn’t include travel or fun money,” explained News-Leader publisher John Shank. “We decided we wanted to provide a more regional getaway trip that could be all expenses paid, and we think Eagle Ridge is a perfect option.”
Eagle Ridge Resort offers guests top-notch rooms and amenities, including a deluxe spa, several championship golf courses, relaxing pools and dining choices right on site. Plus the resort is close to the unique Galena shopping experience and three casinos just down the road near Dubuque.
“On a couple of occasions with our Florida trip giveaway we had winners who couldn’t accept the prize because they were unable to travel for one reason or another,” Shank added. “With this trip, it’s only a couple hours away on a scenic drive and includes enough money to pay for most of the trip, depending on whether two or four people go.”
