On Dec. 6 at 8:18 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies along with Byron Fire/EMS were dispatched to IL Route 2 at Camling Road for a two-vehicle crash. After an investigation it was discovered that Andrea Arwood, 29, of Rockford, had crossed over the center line while traveling northbound on IL Route 2 after swerving to miss a deer. Arwood and the driver of the other vehicle were both transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Arwood was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and she was released on a $3,000 I-bond.
On Dec. 6 at approximately 9:53 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Freeport Road and IL Route 52. After investigation, deputies placed Beverly Lewis, 40, of Dixon, under arrest for a Lee County contempt of court warrant and driving while license suspended. Lewis was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Dec. 6, Jonathan Walkup, 45, of Freeport, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving while license revoked. Walkup was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and will appear in court on Jan. 17.
