Woman arrested on failure to appear warrant

On Dec. 9, Melissa Speers, 34, of Oregon, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Speers went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Speers was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m.
Dec. 11

On Dec. 11, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tyler J. Nichol, 21, of Lena, on a failure to appear warrant. Nichol has a bond of $961 full cash. Nichol posted bond and was released with no return court date.
On Dec. 11 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in rural Ogle County in reference to a report of bond condition violations. After a short investigation, Karl A. Munda, 36, of Forreston, was arrested for violation of bond conditions. Munda was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is being held in lieu of bond.
Dec. 12
On Dec. 12 at approximately 8:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Goose Hollow Road and Freeport Road in reference to a possible car versus deer accident. After a short investigation, Nikolas Cruz, 28, of Dixon, was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Cruz was then transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
