ROCHELLE — On Saturday, Aug. 5, Michelle Thompson, 40, Rochelle was arrested for criminal damage to property, aggravated battery, resisting arrest and threatening a public official following an incident with police. The arrest came after authorities investigated a report of damage at an apartment in the 800 block of Carrie Ave. and an altercation ensued. No one was injured, but Thompson was arrested and jailed on a $10,000 bond. She appeared in Ogle County Court on Monday, Aug. 7 and was given an arraignment date.
On Aug. 1, Doris Bunting, 59, Chicago was sited for failure to yield at an intersection following a collision at Seventh St. and Ninth Ave. According to police, Larry McGee, 50, Rochelle, was traveling north on Seventh St. approaching Ninth Ave. when Bunting proceeded to cross westbound on Ninth Ave. in a Nissan Verse and struck the passenger door of McGee’s Honda Accord. Bunting posted an I-bond.
On Aug. 2, Fernando Leanos, 19, Rockford, was ticketed for speeding and he posted an I-bond.
On Aug. 3, Kelly A. Spears, 41, Rockford, was arrested for retail theft and criminal trespass to land.
