LEMONT — The Rochelle Wrestling Club crowned two champions during the Lemont Bears Bash on Sunday, Feb. 2. Senior Division grapplers Grant Gensler and Tommy Tourdot both went undefeated to claim championships in their respective brackets.
Two Rochelle kids competed in the Tots Division including Nehemiah Andronic and Danny Johnson, who both finished fourth in their respective brackets. Brantley Koenig and Garrett Miller represented the Junior Hubs in the Bantam Division, with both wrestlers going 1-1 over two matches. Miller took second in his bracket, while Koenig finished third.
Zachary Johnson and Aidan Lopez fought in the Intermediate Division, with Johnson (2-1) notching a second-place finish and Lopez (2-1) earning a third-place finish. Four RWC kids battled in the Novice Division including Tony Milburn (2-1) and Roman Villalobos (2-1), who took third in their brackets. Brenden Voight (2-1) placed fifth and Boone Alderks (1-2) was sixth.
Gensler (3-0) and Tourdot (3-0) led the Junior Hubs in the Senior Division with first-place titles. Xavier Villalobos (2-1) and Kaiden Morris (2-1) each finished fifth in their respective brackets. Rochelle will next compete in the Batavia Classic on Sunday, Feb. 16.
