JANESVILLE, Wisc. — The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent a dozen Junior Hubs to the Janesville Parker Youth Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 9. Xavier Villalobos, Roman Villalobos, Benjamin Nadig and Rowen Villalobos all took home first-place titles in the tournament.
Rowen Villalobos (3-0) went unbeaten in the Tots Division to earn a first-place title in his bracket. Emilyn Voight (3-1) led Rochelle in the Bantam Division, finishing second in her bracket while Garrett Miller (1-3) placed fourth. Zachary Johnson (3-1) took third place as the lone Intermediate Division grappler from Rochelle.
Roman Villalobos (4-0) recorded four pins and a first-place finish to lead the Junior Hubs in the Novice Division on Sunday. Benjamin Nadig (3-1) also took first in his bracket, while Brenden Voight (2-2) finished third and Tony Milburn (1-3) placed fourth.
Xavier Villalobos (4-0) was Rochelle’s top wrestler in the Senior Division, earning a first-place finish in his bracket while Grant Gensler (4-1) finished second and Adaleiah Villalobos (1-2) took third. Joseph Nadig placed sixth for the Junior Hubs.
Kenosha
Rochelle Wrestling Club fielded four participants in the KWA Bulldog Brawl in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday, Feb. 9. Kaiden Morris (2-1) brought home a third-place finish in his bracket, while Tommy Tourdot (2-1) won back-to-back wrestlebacks for fifth place in his bracket. Aidan Lopez placed sixth and Nehemiah Andronic took eighth in their brackets.
