Senior Colton O’Rorke was named to the First Team, while seniors Garrett Gensler and Noah Lara each took home Honorable Mentions for the Hubs. Rochelle finished with a 10-19 overall record this season.

What resulted was not only Lodico’s longest collegiate outing, but a remarkable come-from-behind win that highlighted her sophomore season with the Eagles.

With four of the eight schools in the Interstate 8 Conference exceeding 20 wins, victories were difficult for the Lady Hubs to obtain. As Rochelle continues to build for next season, head coach Deanna Jacobs said that shrinking the skill gap between the Lady Hubs and their opponents will be the biggest priority as the offseason officially begins.

The Forge Wrestling Club competed in the 2023 Northern Plains Regional Freestyle & Greco-Roman Championships at the Woodside Wisconsin Dells Center from May 12-14. Three wrestlers brought home first-place finishes in the freestyle tournament and two more secured first-place finishes in the greco-roman wrestling event.

Rochelle senior Anna Harvey’s passion for competitive weightlifting will remain with her as she begins her academic studies at Northern Illinois University next year. With guidance from her weightlifting coach Dr. Brandon Male, who teaches in the kinesiology department at NIU, Harvey will be the founding member of a new sport club called the Sled Dogs beginning this August.
