ROCHELLE — The 1st Annual Brandon Dodrill Memorial Tournament will be held at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb on Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The entry fee will be $50 per person and there are 80 slots available. The fundraiser will include ball raffles, drink specials and a 50/50 raffle. 

Funds raised from the tournament will support the Brandon Dodrill Memorial Foundation, which raises money to support the Rochelle Township High School bowling program. Bowlers will bowl four games of nine-pin no-tap and results will be total pin fall with handicap. All games will be capped at 300 and handicap will be based off 90% of 200, but may not exceed 50 pins per game. Handicap will be based off highest average of the 2023-24 bowling season (21 games).

If bowlers do not have 21 games, a composite average will be used. If there’s no composite average for the 2023-24 season, bowlers will use a highest average from the 2022-23 season. If there is no average, men will use 170 and women will use 150. It’s each bowler’s responsibility to ensure the proper average verification. Tournament directors will have the final decision.

Youth are allowed to bowl. Winnings will be deposited into their SMART accounts. Anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent sign a form. Forms will be available on site. Payout for the tournament will be a 1:5 spots paid out. The $50 entry fee includes $15 toward lineage, $10 toward the foundation and $25 toward the prize fund. A scratch division will be available for $20 and all money collected will be paid back. Brackets and side pots will be available. There will be ball and jersey raffles.
