ROCHELLE – City of Rochelle Engineer Sam Tesreau has announced the closure of 7th Avenue from Caron Road to Kelley Drive beginning Thursday, March 27 through Thursday, April 10 for inlet, manhole and storm sewer reconstruction along with concrete and asphalt pavement restoration. This work is being completed in advance of pavement resurfacing operations in May.
All truck traffic must use 6th Street to Illinois Route 251 or other available marked truck routes during this time and will not be allowed to use Kelley Drive to and from Caron Road.
Advance warning, road closure barricades, detour and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the advanced warning signage, road closed signage and other temporary traffic control devices within or in advance of the work zone. The city appreciates your patience during this project.
