A ‘lucky’ donation

ROCHELLE – Local business owner Keith Scott made a donation to Rochelle’s Community Action Network that will help ensure children in need will still have a merry Christmas this season.
Scott, owner of the new bar and grill The Rabbit’s Foot, made a donation to the Community Action Network that will be used to pay for multiple children when they go on this year’s annual shopping trip.
C.A.N takes children in need on a shopping trip to Walmart each year where they will receive essentials such as winter clothing as well as picking out one toy — all that they receive as a gift.
The idea to donate to this cause was inspired by participating in the annual shopping trip in previous years.

“My wife and I have taken kids on the shopping trip before and really enjoyed that, so I thought it would be nice to do both this year, donate and take kids on the trip,” said Scott.
Scott hopes to be able take kids on the shopping trip and make a donation annually.
