ROCKFORD — Anna M. Stevens died unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2020 at OSF Saint Anthony Hospital. She was born Aug. 6, 1946 in Amboy, the daughter of Herman R. Wedekind and Phyllis E. Fightmaster.
Anna loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow as well as spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce F. Stevens; her son, Aaron Johnson; a granddaughter, Alexandria Johnson; and a brother, Larry Wedekind.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Charanna R. Schult and her husband Mike of Rockford; her son, Miccah Johnson and his wife Amanda of Lebanon, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Victoria, Anthony, Jaimie (Broc), Kimberly, Donnovan, Davianna, Chris, Ryne, Christopher (Shelby), Ashten, Addisen and Cody (Jaimee); 12 great-grandchildren, Oliver, Riley, elisia, Anneya, Xavier, Nova, Adalynn, Harper, Kayla, Beau, Brayden and Makayla; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Wedekind; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 we are unable to have a service at this time. By the end of June you may visit her gravesite. An intimate family gathering will be held on Friday, June 5.
