Dear Editor,
We have been watching the construction of the REC Center in Rochelle and have been anxiously anticipating it’s opening. Now that it is open, we have used it almost daily. For those of you who have not taken a tour, it is fabulous…even better than we thought it would be.

We would like to give a ‘shout out’ to Park District Board President Tim Hayden, Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger, the entire park district board and the many others that have helped give our town this modern facility to exercise and enjoy sports. In our opinion, all those involved made really good decisions regarding the building floor plan, offered activities, choice of equipment and the staff to run the place. The men and women Jackee has picked to fill the staff positions are all helpful, polite, dedicated and qualified.
Our new REC Center is certainly a feather in Rochelle’s cap. It is something to be proud of. We encourage you to sign up and use it.
