CARY — Barbara Price died on May 7, 2024, in Cary, IL.  She was a longtime resident of Rochelle, IL.  Born in Newfoundland, she graduated from Prince of Wales College and The Grace General Hospital School of Nursing (Valedictorian!).  Barbara was naturalized as a United States citizen in 1978.  Preceded in death by her husband Henry Theodore (Ted) in 2007, as well as parents Samuel Herbert and Bessie Mae Case, siblings Marjorie, Dorothy, James, Florence, and Mabel, and their respective spouses.

Survivors include daughter, Heather, granddaughters, Jillian and Amy, of Palatine, IL, and son, Jason (wife Sumi) of Wayne, NE. 

Other survivors include canine companion, Grace, and grandcats:  Seamus, Eve, Sadie, Hanna, Joule, Charlotte, Lucy, and Peter.

Scattering of cremains will be private (“Please let me blow in the wind… Thank you!”).  In remembrance of Barbara, please make a donation to an animal shelter of your choice.
