MOUNTAIN HOME, Arkansas — A private family graveside service for Betty J. Cole of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 12, at the Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle, with Pastor Gregg Hoffman officiating.
Betty passed away May 7, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Kirkland, the daughter of George and Anna Paulsen Schabacker. She married Virgil Cole on Nov. 1, 1958 in Rochelle and worked as a secretary. Betty lived in Mountain Home since moving from Bloomington in 1992.
She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and she had a great sense of humor and loved animals, especially cats.
Betty is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Schabacker of Rochelle; nieces, Gae Schabacker of Rochelle; JoAnne (Bobby) Andrews of Addison, Alabama; June (Byron) Sloan of Freeport, and Jill (Tim) Crowe of Louisville, Kentucky; nephews Don (Nancy) Schabacker of Rochelle, and Andrew (Teresa) Schabacker of Rochelle; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; parents; brother, Donald Schabacker; and sister, Lavona Schabacker.
