DEKALB — Rochelle bowler John Henson represented the Hubs during the IHSA Sycamore Sectional at Mardi Gras Lanes on Saturday. Henson rolled an 1,113 series over six games, but did not advance to the state meet.
Henson recorded 541 pins over his first three games with a high score of 212. The Rochelle junior shot 225 and 212 over his fourth and fifth games before cooling off with 135 in his final game and totaling a 572 second-half series.
"It was an experience I won't forget and it was fun bowling with other individuals from all over the area," Henson said. "I feel like I performed well, but I made a few errors here and there. The meet showed me what to expect and the scores that are needed to advance to state, and it helped show me what I need to work on."
