ROCHELLE — The Rochelle boys bowling team faced an experienced LaSalle-Peru squad Tuesday evening, falling by a score of 3,486-2,996 to drop to 0-10 on the season.
LaSalle-Peru had three players roll over 200 in the first game included Landen Miller, who bowled 238 to lead the Cavaliers over the Hubs 1,146-1,039. Senior Logan Ortega spearheaded Rochelle’s opening-game effort with 221, while junior John Henson added 206.
Miller’s strong series continued in the second game, where he recorded 235 and helped LaSalle-Peru take the middle game 1,159-986 over Rochelle. Sophomore Dylan Milton had a breakout game for the Hubs, totaling 204 with Ortega adding 190.
Miller (244) and Dylan Wyzgowski (243) dominated the third game for the Cavaliers, who won 1,181-971 to complete their sweep over the Hubs. Sophomore Devansh Patel scored 197 in the final game for Rochelle. Miller ended the evening with a match-best 717 series.
