DIXON — Sophomore Bryson Stewart threw a 546 series to lead the Rochelle Hubs during their nonconference varsity bowling match against Dixon at Plum Hollow Lanes on Monday evening.

Senior Logan Frye rolled a 534 series and sophomore Luke Norris followed with a 520 series for the Hubs, who conceded all three games to the Dukes in a 3,514-3,049 loss. Junior Declan McGee added a 515 series and freshman Josef Alanis scored a 506 series for the Hubs (4-7, 2-2 Interstate 8), who will return to action with a home match against Kaneland on Tuesday.

Dixon held off Rochelle for a 1,079-1,036 win in the first game, where McGee shot a series-best 193 and Norris spun a series-best 190 to lead the Hubs. The Dukes took a commanding lead after an 1,193-974 victory in the second game, where Frye bowled a series-best 192 and Alanis added 181 for the Hubs. Cody Geil’s 222 and Wyatt Miller’s 216 were the high marks for Dixon.

The Dukes dominated the third game, winning 1,242-1,039 behind a 259 from Miller and a 256 from Aaron Fitzanko. Miller finished with a 645 series, while Geil rolled a 226 to end the night with a 647 series. Frye’s 184 and Alanis’ 182 were the high scores on the Rochelle side.
