Junior Devansh Patel rolled a team-high 585 series for the Rochelle Hub varsity bowling team on Tuesday, when Rochelle defeated Kaneland for the second time this season. The Hubs topped the Knights 3,093-2,395 to finish the regular season with a 3-6 overall record. Rochelle will bowl in the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon.

DEKALB — Junior Devansh Patel rolled a team-high 585 series for the Rochelle Hub varsity bowling team on Tuesday, when Rochelle defeated Kaneland for the second time this season. The Hubs topped the Knights 3,093-2,395 to finish the regular season with a 3-6 overall record. Rochelle will bowl in the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon.

The Hubs dominated the first game Tuesday evening, winning 1,042-834 behind junior Hayden Smith’s 198, senior Reese Kirk’s 184 and sophomore Evin Odle’s 182. Despite a lower total in the second game, Rochelle secured another win, topping Kaneland 945-764 to extend its lead.

Patel shined for the Hubs in the third game, throwing a match-best 247 as Rochelle cruised over Kaneland 1,106-797. Kirk followed with 216 to finish with a 569 series, while Smith shot 178 and ended his evening with a 512 series. Corbin Vines led the Knights with a 550 series score.
