OGLE COUNTY — CASA of Ogle County (Court Appointed Special Advocates) was the second recipient from the group 100 Women Who Care, Ogle County.
Two organizations were nominated for the quarterly donation: CASA and Village of Progress. Brian Books, director of Village of Progress, and Julie Mann, board member of CASA and a 100 Women Who Care member, gave informative presentations about their respective organizations.
While CASA was the recipient at the July meeting, Village of Progress will be eligible again in October, and CASA can be on the ballot next July. 100 Women members may nominate an Ogle County 501c3 organization for consideration. Once the votes are tallied, the women write a check for the winning organization with the checks going directly to the non-profit.
