ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School JV cheerleading team turned in a successful 2024-25 season, earning top finishes in multiple meets including the Spirit Line Invitational at Wilmington High School, where the JV team took first place in its division.
Rochelle took second in the J-Hawk Invitational at Rockford Jefferson High School before adding another second-place finish during the Barrington Jinglefest at Barrington High School. The JV team finished fourth in the Skyhawk Scramble at Johnsburg High School and third in the Porter Frost Cheer Invitational at Lockport High School.
Rochelle's top finish to end the season was a second-place outing during the Huntley Sweetheart Invitational at Huntley High School in January. The JV team includes Veronica Lopez, DeLaney Heal, Roxy Taft, Aiyana Mashaw, Sara Dolensek, Mia Heitkamp, Alexis Vaughn, Emy Cacique, Lily Kerfin-Fifer, Rowan Thompson and Grace Montes. The team is coached by Mychaela Hurst.
