ROCHELLE – The City of Rochelle is proud to reaffirm its commitment to those who have served our country by offering a welcoming and inclusive work environment for veterans. As an approved employer by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, State Approving Agency, the City is now offering eligible veterans the opportunity to utilize their GI Bill® benefits during training and probationary employment for designated job titles.
This designation allows veterans to explore meaningful careers in public service while receiving valuable support through their earned GI Bill® benefits. It’s part of the city’s broader initiative to ensure that those who have bravely served in the military are met with opportunity, respect, and support as they transition into civilian life.
“We are honored to support our veterans not just in words, but through action,” City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh said. “This program is one more way we show our deep gratitude and help our veterans thrive right here in Rochelle.”
Veterans are encouraged to explore current job openings and learn more about how their service can translate into a fulfilling civilian career with the city.
