OREGON — The Veterans Assistance Commission of Ogle County (VACOC) announces service and personnel changes.

Superintendent Ellen Katoll has completed Veterans Service Officer training and is available to assist eligible veterans in filing claims for benefits and enrolling them in VA healthcare.

The VACOC office hours have expanded to Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The VACOC office is located in Oregon VFW Post 8739 at 1310 W. Washington St. in Oregon. The new phone number is 815-255-9181.

The new transportation coordinator is Jennifer Zellers, a long-time resident of Ashton. She heads up the VACOC transportation program, which provides qualified veterans rides to VA medical facilities for their appointments.
