ROCHELLE – The City of Rochelle Public Works Department has announced that Creston Road, from Caron Road to Dement Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday March 10 at 7 a.m.

The closure is necessary to replace three failing stormwater culvert pipes that cross Creston Road. This work is part of the city’s ongoing stormwater maintenance program. Work is expected to be substantially complete by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and is subject to weather.

Traffic, utilizing Creston Road, will be detoured along Illinois Route 38 to Caron Road and Dement Road. Advanced warning, detour, and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the advanced warning signage, road closed signage, and other temporary traffic control devices within or in advance of the work zone. The city appreciates your patience during this project.
