On Wednesday, May 7, David Guest of Rochelle celebrated his 97th birthday. Guest is The REC Center’s oldest member and visits The REC to walk twice a day, seven days a week. He also attends the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District’s Senior Stretch and Strength class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-9:45 a.m. Some of his “classmates” in the senior class gave him 97 notes from his friends, neighbors, REC staff, and more for his birthday on Wednesday and Guest took pictures with REC staff and his classmates.
