MORTON — The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football team won its second straight game on Friday evening, cruising over the Morton Potters for a 40-14 victory. Sophomore Keegan Cathina scored three times for the Hubs (2-0, 0-0 Interstate 8), reaching the endzone on a 65-yard run as well as a 5-yard run and a 6-yard run.
Sophomores Tyler Gensler and Bobby Tourdot each rushed for touchdowns in the win, with both players scoring on 3-yard runs. Freshman Andrew Eyster rushed for a 2-yard touchdown and sophomore Angel Hernandez recorded a team-high six tackles for the Hubs, who will host Byron on Monday, Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
