MAPLE PARK — The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football team showcased its dominance on the road Monday evening, crushing the Kaneland Knights 52-18 and improving to 2-1 on the season. Rochelle will host Sandwich on Monday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m.
Sophomore Trey Taft led the Hub offense in the win, rushing for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Hayden Inman ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore Aidan Rodriguez and freshman Brandt Waters each rushed for one touchdown.
Freshmen Landon Mickley and Ivan Cortez imposed their will on defense, with Mickley recording 10 tackles and Cortez adding two tackles. Sophomore Cody Stover-Cullum compiled eight tackles from the linebacker position, while sophomore Kyce Jaradat secured six tackles.
