SYCAMORE — The Rochelle Hub JV football team won its second game of the season on Monday evening, when the purple and white rushed for four touchdowns enroute to a 28-8 victory against Sycamore in Interstate 8 play.
Juniors Van Gerber and Andrew Johnson both rushed for touchdowns, with Gerber reaching the endzone on a 48-yard run and Johnson scoring on a 4-yard run. Sophomores Tyler Gensler and Keegan Cathina added touchdowns runs as well, with Gensler scoring on a 6-yard rush and Cathina finding the endzone on a 5-yard rush.
Junior Keagan Albers and sophomore Brody Bruns each recorded six tackles to lead the Rochelle defense against the Spartans. Junior Mark Green added five tackles.
