ROCHELLE — According to Ogle County Highway Engineer Jeremy Ciesiel, the intersection of Flagg Road and Chana Road will be converted to a four-way stop on Monday, Aug. 26.
The intersection has been a two-way stop for more than 50 years; however, over the decades traffic patterns and roadside conditions have changed resulting in the need to add stop signs on Chana Road.
New flashing beacons and signs will be placed ahead of the intersection to alert drivers of the new stop condition. In addition, changeable message signs will temporarily be placed along Chana Road notifying drivers of the new stop condition.
Drivers are urged to take note of the new signage and travel accordingly in the area.
