ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Rotary Club’s annual From the Heart dinner-auction is the organization’s premier fundraising event of the year, bringing corporations, businesses, couples and individuals together to help support important service agencies in the Rochelle area community.
“We’re broken hearted over not being able to hold our in person Gala in 2021, but our charities still need us. We have lost one of our charities, as the doors to the Rochelle Child Care Center have closed for good,” event organizer Dave Eckhardt said. “That is an enormous loss to our community. We can’t lose anymore. From The Heart is asking that you give from your heart this year. The gala, which is normally held on first Saturday of February at the Flight Deck Bar and Grille in Rochelle, raises more than $46,000 for seven local non-profit groups that provide valuable family services in and around the Rochelle region.”
Because of that, the From The Heart Committee has decided to host a Virtual Event in 2021 on the From The Heart Facebook page where we will feature an amazing giveaway.

For $100 per ticket, you will have one entry into a drawing to win one of five virtual event prizes:

1/2 hog and processing
1/4 beef and processing
LG UHD 75 Inch TV
Apple Watch Series 6
KitchenAid 5 Quart Bowl Lift Stand Mixer
Plus you will receive a $25 voucher for the Flight Deck.
Additional chances to win one of the five prizes are available for $20 each, once the initial $100 ticket is purchased.
“We are also having an online auction with items that would normally have appeared on our silent auction tables during the gala,” Eckhardt added. “The online can be viewed at https://bearrows.hibid.com. We have set a goal to raise $50,000 for our seven local non-profit groups in 2021, but we can’t meet our goal without help from you. From The Heart is asking that you give from your heart this year. Please consider purchasing a ticket, bidding on an item, becoming a sponsor of our Virtual Event or donate an item that can be raffled off. We trust we can count on your help to make this year’s event one of our best yet.”
The proceeds from our annual event go to our From The Heart recipients: Rochelle Christian Food Pantry, HOPE, Focus House, Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center, CASA, Rochelle Area Community Foundation and Hub City Senior Center.
