Frye named March Rotary Student of the Month at RTHS

Posted

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School recently congratulated Logan Frye for being named the Rotary Student of the Month for March.

Frye, an RTHS senior, has amassed over 575 Silver Service volunteer hours during his time at RTHS, a remarkable achievement that has earned him the honor of wearing the Silver Cord at graduation. His volunteer work includes helping at the Flagg Township Museum, Steward Elementary School, and the Steward Fire Department. He is also known for babysitting and doing chores for friends and neighbors, teaching Vacation Bible School (VBS), assisting with the Heritage Festival parade, and serving at various local functions.

In addition to his community service, Logan takes part in extracurricular activities. He is an active member of the RTHS bowling and track teams and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. He also volunteers at sporting events and has dedicated his study halls to helping as an RTHS library monitor.

Mrs. Adolph praised Logan’s work ethic, stating, “Logan has a great work ethic and takes pride in his work and presentations. He advocates for himself, always striving to do top-quality work.”

Logan received a full scholarship to participate in RYLA, Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, held in Oregon in May.

“Thank you, Logan, for your exceptional contributions to both RTHS and the community over the past four years,” an RTHS Facebook post said. “We wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors!”
