SANDWICH — Senior forward Kendyl Darby led the Rochelle Lady Hubs with 11 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and three assists during their regular season road finale against the Sandwich Indians in nonconference play on Monday evening.
Senior forward Abby Metzger totaled nine points and four rebounds for the Lady Hubs, who fell to the Indians 42-30 in their last regular season road game. Junior guard Carmela Bright recorded eight points, four steals and three rebounds while making two 3-pointers. Rochelle (8-21, 1-8 Interstate 8) will end the regular season against Ottawa at home Tuesday evening.
Freshman guard Audrina Rodriguez chipped in two points, four rebounds and three steals for the Lady Hubs, who will compete as the No. 8 seed in the IHSA 3A Sterling Regional on Monday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. Rochelle will face No. 1 seed Sterling in the semifinal round.
