ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team continued Interstate 8 Conference action against Sycamore on Thursday. Senior Alyssa Mickley rolled a team-high 565 series for the Lady Hubs, who dropped the match 2,850-2,544 to move to 1-4 overall this season.
Sycamore claimed the first game 984-838 behind 200 from Kiki Wittenberg and 176 from Kaitlyn Ryder. Mickley fired 189 for the Lady Hubs, while freshman Cassidy Vincent added 160 and senior Anna Samo recorded 158.
The Spartans won the second game 1,010-879, with Maxine Lathrop scoring 195 and Brandi Stover shooting 198 for Sycamore. Vincent led the Lady Hubs with 202 in the second game, while Mickley followed with 191. Sycamore edged Rochelle 856-827 in the third game to complete the sweep. Mickley scored 185 to finish as the high bowler for the meet.
