OTTAWA — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team faced Ottawa on the road Wednesday evening. Sophomore Kylie McCullough rolled a team-high 484 series, while junior Cassidy Vincent added a 473 series as the Pirates defeated the Lady Hubs 2,759-2,539. Rochelle (4-4, 3-3 Interstate 8) will return to the lanes on Thursday, Jan. 4 against Streator.
Lindy Dhuse scored a series-best 208 to lead Ottawa over Rochelle 861-843 in the first game. Vincent totaled a 168 on the Rochelle side, while McCullough fired a series-best 163 and senior Kenzie Liezert recorded a series-best 164. The Pirates claimed the second game 899-858, with Vincent shooting a series-best 174 while senior Anahi Alanis rolled a series-best 163 for the Lady Hubs.
Ottawa clinched the conference sweep with a 999-838 win in the third game, where Kihlah Figenbaum fired a 180 and Dawn Hudkins added a 178 for the Pirates. McCullough's 162 and a 144 from senior Faith Adams were the high scores for the Lady Hubs in the final game of the Interstate 8 series.
