DEKALB — Senior Cassidy Vincent rolled a 521 series to lead the Rochelle Lady Hubs during their Interstate 8 Conference varsity bowling match against Kaneland on Thursday evening.
Junior Kylie McCullough totaled a 420 series and sophomore Ava Norris recorded a 406 series for the Lady Hubs, who fell to the Knights 2,523-2,290 at Mardi Gras Lanes. Rochelle (1-2, 0-2 Interstate 8) conceded the first game 844-702, with Vincent shooting a 182 to lead the Lady Hubs and Preslee Sutherland firing a series-best 206 on the Kaneland side of the lanes.
The Knights extended their series lead with an 821-729 victory during the second game, where Sutherland rolled a 192 and Emma Prentice added a 173 for the Knights. Vincent’s 160 was the high score for the Lady Hubs, who fell by just two pins in the third and final game, which Kaneland took 858-856 behind 211 from Prentice and 188 from Sutherland.
Vincent shot a 187 and McCullough threw a series-best 182 to lead the Rochelle side in the final game. The Lady Hubs will return to action with a road match against Dixon on Monday evening.
